מייצגים הן שלבים בדרכו של האדם והן תהליכים רוחניים

קוסמיים שעניינם מעבר ממצב של תלות ומילוי צרכים

למצב של עצמאות רוחנית והזרמת שפע לסביבה.

השימוש באותיות כאן מתייחס לתפיסה קבלית נפוצה

שבה האותיות מכילות את האנרגיה של היקום ובעזרתן

נוצר העולם ומתקיים.

An essay about Liora's artistic work artic

In the foreword to his book “On the Spiritual in Art”, artist and philosopher Wassily Kandinsky conjectured that

 “Every artistic creation is a product of its own times and often reflects our sensitivities”.

Clearly, the observer of the of Liora Rosenman’s work can understand what Kandinsky meant.

 

Rosenman’s paintings invite the viewer to join her in a journey through images, memories, places and momentous

 events in our lives. Employing a bold palette of reds, violets, blues, greens and yellows, Rosenman conjures up

intricate reflections of our world. Many of the paintings open a new window with a close-up view of tall buildings,

 industrialized construction contrasted with the wild, free forms of nature; freight-laden ships that transport us

 across oceans, juxtaposed with the broken skeleton of a boat that leaves us stranded on the shore.

 

We perceive the windows as openings into the painter’s own soul, revealing the obscured to the viewer. Rosenman

 daringly touches on the problems and difficulties of the modern world: conflagration in the forests and contamination

 of the air, modernization and the wars that affect and govern our lives.

 

Through the bold use of color and imagery, often only hinted at, Rosenman holds up a mirror to rouse our

 contemplations and speculation.
